Across the year this piece has gradually metamorphosed, reflecting and exploring the changes experienced whilst training as an art psychotherapist.
Previously exploring ‘unsettled and confused feelings, the 'limbs' often contort in knots and uncomfortable twists, reflecting the difficult process of introspection.’
Whereas this year, although some knots remain, others have loosened, with limbs working their way free. As the journey of the course nears its end, this releasing reflects the development and adaptation of approaches to adversity in therapy and shifting into a different state of being as an art psychotherapist.
The continual documentation of the piece through the year demonstrates potential and freedom to continue learning and respond to the challenges of dynamic circumstances.
